The standard procedure includes the drainage of water from the unloading bay to the sewer system.

to be elaborated for shutting off the sewage system and collecting the acids and/or bases in a storage tank in the event of emergencies during transfer.

The Collinet engineering department designed a double-walled HDPE distribution chamber with integrated shut-off valves. The design also took into account the accessibility of the chamber through the installation of a ladder, as well as the required clear height and surface area of the room to guarantee ergonomic inspection and/or work. The access shaft of the chamber is covered with a liquid-tight lid.
The emergency tank, intended for the collection and storage of chemical components that may be released in the loading area during the transfer of chemical products, was implemented as a double-walled HDPE underground containment tank with a capacity of 5,000 liters. This emergency tank is equipped with a permanent leak detection system to continuously monitor the liquid tightness of the tank.
Collinet Engineering determined the physical properties of the pit, the access for inspection and maintenance, as well as the choice of material.
