Sewerage for 3.5 ha site in Sint-Katelijne-Waver

Client: Wim Verhuur

Contractor: A.G.W.P.

Wim Verhuur converted its 3.5-hectare hangar into a storage facility. The sewerage system was completely renewed with a separate drainage system and a buffer system for rainwater coming from the roof and the parking lot. According to building regulations, only 20 liters of rainwater per second per hectare may be discharged into the adjacent brook, which is why an 800 mm diameter PP Ribwall was chosen. This allows us to buffer the rainwater over the entire length of the system and discharge it into the brook at a controlled rate. Ribwall is also more efficient to install and cheaper than a conventional sewage system with a concrete buffer basin.
