Commissioned by Port Oostende, Vulsteke Industrial Buildings from Kortemark recently built a new storage facility. Various shovels broke ground on the Esplanadestraat for this project. Earthworks contractor Grondwerken Vandecasteele Andres and Climawest carried out the earthworks and HVAC works respectively. They called upon building materials from Deschacht.
To expertly carry out the earthworks for this construction project, the team from Grondwerken Vandecasteele Andres in Pittem ordered the necessary Ribwall pipes from Deschacht, supplemented with PVC pipes and fittings. “With the PP-Ribwall pipes, we had material that is very well suited for the buffering and transport of rainwater and wastewater,” says managing director Andres Vandecasteele. “Because these pipes are Benor-certified, the client has an extra guarantee that their drainage system will successfully pass a mandatory inspection. In addition, it was pleasant for our installers to work with the Ribwall products because they are very easy to install due to their light weight.” “For this site, we used the Benor Ribwall pipes with diameters of 500 and 800. Thanks to the high impact resistance of this product, cracks, fractures, and breaks don't stand a chance. And of course, it’s great that we are using material with a long lifespan.”
Versatile HDPE pressure pipes
For the HVAC works, the Climawest team went into action. An order was also placed with Deschacht from the office in Zwevegem, in this case for HDPE pressure pipes and corresponding fittings. Managing Director Vincent Vanderheyde provides details and explanation: “On behalf of the main contractor, we installed underground fire suppression piping. For this, we naturally needed the necessary pipes, specifically 150 linear meters with a diameter of 160 and 120 linear meters with a diameter of 110. This material was delivered to us quickly by Deschacht, which we greatly appreciated as a new customer of theirs.” “The installation of these HDPE pressure pipes and fittings went very smoothly.
