Large, but family-friendly
Private individuals planning to install a heat pump have been able to turn to Eco Project for vertical boreholes and horizontal ground loops for several years now. The fact that the young, small company ended up with a major player like Deschacht for its material supplies might not sound obvious at first. But for managing director Buelens, it is a completely logical story: “A competitor recommended Deschacht to us for the supply of PE pressure pipes, probes, and collector wells. And right from our very first collaboration, we felt a connection. It is exceptional for such a large company to have such a family-like atmosphere. My retired father occasionally lends a hand to pick up materials, and he is always welcomed very warmly as well. The value of that should not be underestimated.”
Delivery on demand
The family atmosphere is not the only asset Deschacht has according to Buelens: “We also never have to worry about running out of materials. Deschacht checks in on time to see what we think we will need in the coming months, so everything is always in stock. But we can also turn to them ad hoc. For example, it sometimes happens that a project is scheduled for us, but the construction site is not ready yet. Then we have to quickly see if we can start working somewhere else. Only then do we not always have the necessary supplies on hand. At such a moment, I just have to send a message and they immediately have everything ready for us.”
Growing department
According to Jeroen Walgraeve, utilities account manager at Deschacht, the utility pipelines department is a growing pillar within Deschacht: “It is striking that customers regularly return because of our service, which is largely thanks to our many branches. This allows us to deliver smoothly and quickly to customers at the construction site. In addition, we notice a clear need for a partner with technical knowledge, and we try to make a difference in that area as well. If customers need advice, we can truly add value in that regard.”
