On the Bekaert site in Zwevegem, rainwater on the site was disconnected and routed to a retention basin. After all, the Flemish rainwater ordinance requires that rainwater cannot be discharged directly into the sewerage system along with wastewater. To drain the large volumes of rainwater smoothly, pipes with a diameter of one meter were needed. There was no space for traditional concrete drainage pipes and heavy machinery. The solution: PP-Ribwall plastic pipes.
