Inspectable infiltration basin I Zwijnaarde

Client: PharmaBelgium

Contractor: Verhelst Aannemingen

At the Tech Lane Ghent business park and science park in Zwijnaarde, PharmaBelgium is building a new distribution center. Verhelst Aannemingen is installing, among other things, an inspectable infiltration basin made of IT Plus Control Boxes and inspectable Vivo Control chambers. The basin allows rainwater from a total area of 14,000 m² to infiltrate into the ground. The new distribution center covers 10,000 m², and the area of the associated parking lot and roads is 4,000 m². All rainwater running from the roof and external paving into the sewer system must be infiltrated into the ground. To achieve this, a basin with a total capacity of 280 m³, composed of 650 IT Plus Control Boxes, is being installed. IT Plus Vivo Control is being incorporated at 4 points, allowing the basin to be regularly inspected and cleaned.
