Trudoplein and Groenmarkt in Sint-Truiden are being redesigned. Eye-catchers on the two squares are the fountains. Willemen Infra – Kumpen installed Hauraton drainage systems around the fountains. For aesthetic reasons, the engineering firm chose to drain the water from the smaller fountain on Trudoplein using the fine RECYFIX® HICAP drainage channel. The slot of the RECYFIX® HICAP drainage channel is only 14 mm wide, making it barely noticeable. For the large fountain on Groenmarkt, the firm opted for the design of the METROPOLIS grating. The FASERFIX® KS fiber-reinforced concrete slotted channels collect the water from the fountain. Because the paving can be laid directly against them, this yields a neat final result. Furthermore, they are easy to install thanks to the flat concrete.
