Custom pump station for Social House “Sur son 31” in Vaux-sous-Chèvremont
As part of the construction of the “Sur son 31” Social House in Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, the general contractor Chêne from Trooz called upon Deschacht for a technical issue: the pumping of wastewater.

This large-scale initiative, supported by the CPAS of Chaudfontaine, brings together various aid and support services: the Maison de la Cité, a neighborhood workshop with a social restaurant, as well as emergency housing and transitional apartments. The project fits into a broader vision of social cohesion, reintegration, and solidarity.
Pumping wastewater: a technical challenge turned into a custom solution
Due to the location of the site, a pump pit was indispensable to efficiently pump and transport the wastewater. Such installations are often seen as complex and expensive technical elements, but in reality they form the basis of water supply and drainage. Deschacht proposed a customized solution, produced by sister company Collinet, which specializes in HDPE structures. The supplied installation consists of a tank 4650 mm high and 1000 mm in diameter, fully preassembled and designed to house two pumps that are exactly dimensioned according to the required flow rates.
A ready-to-use pump installation
In addition to producing the basin, Deschacht coordinated the entire process, from design to commissioning. The partner The Flow Group, a long-standing and loyal partner of Deschacht, is responsible for the connection, cabling, start-up of the pumps, and the control panel. Optionally, a maintenance contract (comprehensive or full comprehensive) is offered to guarantee long-term operational reliability. By delivering a complete, turnkey solution, Deschacht relieves the main contractor of additional coordination with a plumbing installer. This allows them to benefit from time savings, logistical simplicity, and guaranteed performance on a crucial part of the project.
