At the Industrielaan in Turnhout, contractor
from Hoogstraten a new warehouse for Transport Bauwens. The sewerage had to meet two conditions: it
delay rainwater runoff
remove hydrocarbons from water flowing from the loading quays

To get this job done, Bolckmans NV relied on the products and expertise of
. In total, we have more than
400 meter Ribwall pipes
delivered, of which 312 meters of the so-called Infiltration Transport type (IT). These are double-walled, ribbed pipes with perforations through which the water infiltrates into the ground, thereby on the one hand delaying the runoff and on the other hand protecting the sewer system from overloading. In Turnhout we supplied these with a diameter of 600 and 800, alongside another 96 meters of standard Ribwall 800. Our
provided the master plan.
COW separator and pump pit in one.
To meet the second condition was a
necessary. Such a system is used to purify wastewater contaminated with hydrocarbons (mineral oil, grease and fuel) before it reaches the sewer system. We manufacture these separators to measure in our plant in Herstal. For the construction site in Turnhout, a pump pit was also necessary because the sewer system is located higher up. For reasons of efficiency, we opted to
KWS separator and pump pit to be combined in one system
. This solution resulted in
substantial time savings during installation
