The new Lidl in Eupen is entirely dedicated to the brand's renewed style: larger, airier, and more attractive. However, such a large building must comply with flood prevention legislation and include a storm basin. A storm basin can slow down water upstream, limit runoff, and promote infiltration. The one at the Eupen Lidl can hold 200 m3, which is the volume estimated based on the surface area of the roof (2,000 m2) and the parking lot (3,000 m2).
