Cavity wall insulation / Eternit Equitone / Bassevelde

Contractor: Joiner Ignace Dhont

Architect: Architecten Delobelle

The facade of this home in Bassevelde needed to be renovated. The choice fell on Eternit Equitone, fiber cement facade panels as thin as glass and as strong as concrete, maintenance-free and available in many colors. The panels are available in 1.25 by 3 m, can be cut to size yourself, and can be installed as desired with glue, screws (for a wooden substrate), or blind rivets (for aluminum). The panels are thin, but strong. You do not need to maintain or paint them. And the facade effortlessly withstands the roughest Belgian weather thanks to the extremely hardened top layer.
