Sustainable Rainwater Management at the Heart of a New Industrial Site
At the Sankt Vith industrial park, nearly 1,000 m² of Drainix®, Deschacht’s exclusive surface infiltration solution, was installed at a new building for a woodworking shop. This project, carried out by contractor Röhl GmbH, demonstrates how a well-thought-out outdoor space design can reduce the volume of water to be drained while ensuring high resistance to traffic loads.

A solution for high-traffic areas
The surfaces equipped with Drainix® serve as traffic areas for trucks around the building. Thanks to its robust structure, Drainix® promotes the direct infiltration of rainwater into the soil while also withstanding heavy loads. This approach reduces the need for buffering and makes it possible to decrease the required size of stormwater basins on the site.
The advantages include excellent infiltration capacity, quick installation, high mechanical strength, and a tangible contribution to sustainable water management.
A partnership based on trust
The story behind this project began nearly two years ago, when Vincent Brel, an account manager at Deschacht, introduced Drainix® to Kevin Röhl.
“I had introduced Kevin to Drainix® almost two years ago. When he contacted me again about this project, everything was clear to him. During my visit to the construction site, I saw that the system had been installed perfectly. I really have to tip my hat to them—this is craftsmanship,” says Vincent.
The client was completely satisfied with the final result, which confirmed that the chosen solution was particularly well-suited for this large-scale industrial project.
