450 m² Drainix®: stability, permeability and aesthetics

The non-profit organization Le Renouveau, a center specializing in the support of people with disabilities, recently carried out work around its building in Grosage. Objective: to create a sustainable, practical, and user-friendly outdoor space that is in harmony with the site's activities.

A permeable and robust solution for sustainable water management

The company RBS Béton from Audemez, which specializes in concrete and earthworks, was responsible for the execution of this project. The choice of the Drainix® system, a patented product developed by Deschacht, was a logical one.

Drainix® combines the lightweight nature of a hollow plastic sheet with the strength of cast-in-place reinforced concrete thanks to the integrated reinforcement. This modular, permeable structure ensures both the stability of traffic areas and the natural infiltration of rainwater.

Ideal for public spaces and heavy-traffic areas, Drainix® guarantees excellent gravel stabilization, even in high-traffic zones, and offers a reliable and eco-friendly technical solution.

An efficiently managed construction site

The careful placement of Drainix® ensured uniform filling and a perfect finish across the 450 m².

“What really convinced us is the simplicity of the installation. No heavy earthworks or complicated concrete work needed. We were able to meet the deadlines and the result is perfect: a stable, permeable surface, ready for use immediately after the work was completed,” says Rémy Bodart, director of RBS Béton.

A neat and sustainable finish

Visually, the cladding integrates perfectly into the surroundings of the center, with a natural and sleek appearance. The use of light gravel creates a pleasant contrast with the green zones and the existing buildings, while ensuring comfortable use for visitors.

With this project, RBS Béton demonstrates that functionality, durability, and aesthetics can be combined even in high-traffic environments. Drainix® proves to be a solution here that perfectly aligns with the requirements of a publicly accessible site.
