Delhaize | Ath

Client: Delhaize

Main contractor: Phenix group – Pepingen

The Delhaize branch in Ath, Hainaut, is being expanded. To supply the sprinkler system with water, a buffer tank of around 160 m³ is needed. Normally,

this solved by constructing a waterproof concrete tub. Here we work with two Tubao pipes of 2.30 m diameter, a total of 39 m long. These were installed with a

80 cm of cover. The pipes were joined together with a waterproof collar. They were then covered with a geogrid and backfilled with earth. This zone becomes a parking lot

so as the final layer asphalt was poured. With the Tubao steel pipes, the execution of the works was accelerated by 2 weeks.
