Weholite double-wall HDPE pipes

Client: Flanders Agency for Roads and Traffic

Contractor: Hertsens Wegenwerken

Hertsens Wegenwerken installed 3 Weholite tanks on the site of the winter maintenance services of the Flemish Agency for Roads and Traffic in Gentbrugge. They will collect rainwater falling on the roofs of the buildings. There is 1 tank of 120 m³ and 2 of 100 m³. The latter will be interconnected to form 1 large reservoir of 200 m³. Weholite, manufactured by TUBAO, consists of double-walled HDPE pipes and is custom-made to customer requirements. A single pipe section can reach up to 3 meters in diameter and 21 meters in length, accounting for a volume of 150,000 liters. The pipes can also be coupled together to create even larger reservoirs. Weholite pipes are most commonly used for the distribution, storage, and buffering of water. They can also serve as storage tanks for liquid food products, wastewater, or chemical products, as well as pump stations and tanks for biogas production.
