Two years ago, a fire destroyed the factory of Realco, a biotech company that focuses on enzyme-based hygiene processes. Reconstruction was jointly carried out by the companies Loiseau and Cobelba.
The new 4,000 m² plant in Louvain-la-Neuve needed a custom-made tank to collect industrial process water.
Double-walled HDPE for greater safety
The companies Loiseau and Cobelba called upon Deschacht and Collinet for a reliable solution that met their very specific requirements. Collinet designed and manufactured a 42 m3 double-walled HDPE tank, equipped with level probes. Thanks to the inertia of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the 13.70 m long tank is perfectly resistant to most aggressive substances. In addition, the probes indicate the filling level, so that the necessary emptying by an authorized body can be scheduled. Collinet specializes in the design of fully double-walled tanks for guaranteed total safety, a must for a biotech company like Realco!
