Hauraton load classes

Choose the right drainage system – overview of load classes (EN 1433)

What are tax brackets?

Drainage channels and gullies must be matched to the load, drainage volume, and application. Load classes help you quickly choose the right system for every situation.

Load classes for drainage systems

The EN 1433 standard defines the load classes for drainage channels, from A15 to F900. These classes indicate how much load a system can handle (expressed in kN) and for which application it is suitable – from pedestrian zones to heavy traffic.

In specific applications, such as airports, additional standards may apply.

Important considerations for choosing the right drainage channel

Take into account dynamic loading, traffic frequency, and vehicle turning movements. When in doubt, it is best to choose a higher load class to avoid damage and maintenance.

In heavy or intense traffic conditions, a thorough analysis of the project environment is crucial to make the right choice. Are you unsure about the correct load class? Our experts are happy to help you choose the right drainage system.
