Intensive green roof

Greenfix intensive green roof for maximum greening

With a Greenfix intensive green roof, you create a full-fledged green zone on the roof. You achieve a structure suitable for plantings such as grass, shrubs, and even trees, combined with high water retention and functional use.

This type of green roof requires a heavier structure, but offers maximum possibilities for architecture, biodiversity, and public space.

Characteristics of an intensive Greenfix green roof:

Applications and considerations

You use intensive green roofs for roof gardens, public spaces, and architectural applications. They require a correct analysis of load-bearing capacity and a maintenance strategy.

Here too, slope remains important. For a completely flat roof (0%), you use the Greenfix Retain buffer board (20 l/m²), which in walkable applications is filled with 4/20 aggregate for drainage and stability.

Construction of the Greenfix intensive green roof

Optional membrane to be installed if the roof waterproofing is not root-resistant.
