Bituminous roofing
A high-performance roof structure consists of multiple carefully coordinated layers. The quality of the materials and correct installation determine the watertightness, durability, and lifespan of the entire roof system.
The Bauder bitumen product range includes a complete portfolio of system components for multi-layer bituminous waterproofing of flat roofs. Thanks to the broad compatibility between the various products, a technically suitable roof structure can be assembled for every project, from residential new construction to large-scale commercial building.
This flexibility makes it possible to optimally tailor roof structures to the required performance, application method, fire safety, and sustainability objectives of the project.

FAQ
1. Is Bauder suitable for green roofs?
Yes. For extensive and intensive green roofs, Bauder offers root-resistant solutions such as Bauder Flex WF 4. These roofing membranes are designed to prevent root penetration and provide a reliable foundation for vegetated roofs.
2. Can Bauder be combined with PIR insulation?
Yes. Bauder develops complete roof systems in which bituminous waterproofing is combined with PIR insulation boards. This creates an energy-efficient roof structure that meets increasingly stringent EPB and energy requirements in new construction and renovation projects.
3. Which Bauder roofing membrane is suitable for roofs with solar panels?
For roofs where solar panels are installed, a durable and mechanically strong roof waterproofing system is essential. Bauder offers various SBS, APP, and DUO systems that can be used in roof build-ups with solar panels, depending on the attachment method and the load on the roof.
4. Why is compatibility between roof layers important?
A flat roof consists of multiple layers that must function as a single system. When the vapor control layer, insulation, underlayer, and cap sheet are compatible, the risks of condensation, adhesion problems, and premature aging are minimized. Bauder develops integrated system solutions for this purpose.
