Aquafin – Ribwall IT | Schoten

Client: Aquafin NV, Aartselaar

Contractor: Herbosch-Kiere, Kallo

Due to the widening of the canal, the adjacent roads must be broken up and replaced by new ones. Aquafin logically saw this as the prime opportunity to also replace the sewerage system. Near the Metropoolstraat in Schoten, the old combined sewer is therefore now being replaced by a separated sewer system. A job right up the alley of the company Herbosch-Kiere, which specializes in port, river, and maritime works. For rainwater, Deschacht's PP-Ribwall IT infiltration pipe proved to be extremely useful. This pipe with a diameter of 1,000 mm and a double-walled structure of type B carries the Benor quality mark and is equipped with a pre-assembled seal. The ribbed outer wall also makes the whole very lightweight, while at the same time the pipe meets the SN8 stiffness class. The inner wall is smooth, allowing the water to be discharged optimally. Finally, Ribwall IT can also be provided with an HF180 geotextile casing with Benor certification.
