Hidden drainage channels in Wuustwezel

Client: Jos de Bie

Main contractor: MB Vloeren

Rental company Jos De Bie rents out cranes, aerial platforms, and agricultural machinery. The rainwater on the company premises has been drained for 20 years using aquadrain channels, but they can no longer handle the water and are in urgent need of replacement. MB Vloeren is replacing them with a total of 30 meters of concealed concrete drainage channels.

A concealed concrete drain is much sturdier than an Aquadrain channel. Machines weighing several tons can safely drive over it. Another advantage: the narrow drainage slots are barely visible. However, the plastic pipes embedded in the concrete discharge a large volume of rainwater very quickly. To prevent new flooding, channels with a diameter of 300 mm were installed.
