BIM engineering
The classical 2D working method for drawing up sewerage plans is slowly disappearing at Deschacht into the background. By offering an intelligent BIM library, engineers, engineering firms and architects themselves develop and manage the plans and associated specifications and price calculations.
Technical product data sheets – one overview
Deschacht is now also innovating with a solution for all technical product information in a single download. Every product in the BIM plan is linked to detailed technical info. You receive these documents immediately upon finalizing the BIM plan. Any late product changes are also implemented in this.
Complete sewage plan for private residence
“The BIM library is being populated in phases,” says Filip Roels, BIM manager at Deschacht. “The extensive product range is of great added value to customers. Manufacturers only offer a BIM library for their own products. Deschacht’s library, on the other hand, contains the complete sewerage range, across different brands. A contractor or their engineering firm will only have to download a single file from Deschacht’s BIM to be able to completely design a sewerage route, for example.”
Today, various products from the sewerage and drainage range have been integrated into the BIM library, such as infiltration and buffer basins, PVC pipes, and rainwater and septic tanks. Since the latest release in June, the library also includes HDPE and MDPE chambers.
Digital plan and bill of quantities
Next, a bill of quantities can very easily be uploaded from the BIM design into Deschacht's webshop, so that a budget or price quotation can be drawn up immediately. Late changes can be implemented immediately in the various drawings, plans and production drawings.
