Deschacht recently launched Clips&Go 2.0, a new patented aluminum roof edge system for flat roofs. This system consists of only two parts: a base profile and a trim profile. Roofer Bart Baestaens from Ramsel is already very enthusiastic about this new product.
Superefficient solution
Time-saving, easy to finish and offering high performance. In a nutshell, those are three major assets of Clips&Go 2.0. The two-part roof edge system is suitable for all EPDM roof coverings from 1.2 mm up to a maximum of 2.5 mm and for overlaps of up to two layer thicknesses. “With the base profile, we can finish the roof edge waterproof, after which we clip the decorative trim—made of oven-lacquered aluminum and equipped with a rot-proof thermoplastic rubber—onto the base profile afterward in the desired color,” explains professional Bart Baestaens. “Thanks to this efficient system, we save a lot of time when finishing a roof, while not compromising in any way on quality and watertightness.”
No chance of leaks or breakage
The use of Clips&Go 2.0 leaves no chance for potential leaks, breakage, or damage to the substrate or wall. After all, the base profile and the roof trim connect directly to each other. The internal joint connectors with a length of 50 mm ensure a watertight finish of the joints.
Easy to process and finish
For the finishing of interior and exterior corners, Deschacht provides convenient accessories. “For finishing corners, we no longer need to get out our miter saw,” says Bart Baestaens. “After all, it is enough to slide the ‘easy corner’ accessory into the base profile at the corners. This ensures the perfect connection.”
Clips&Go in practice: Herentals construction project
All these advantages of Clips&Go 2.0 can be admired at a detached modern home in Herentals where the Bart Baestaens team handled the roofing work. “For this project, we were able to put all the benefits of Clips&Go 2.0 into practice. In total, we used about 50 linear meters of the new roof edge system.”
