Bonnebos Play Forest Boardwalk I Lochristi

Client: Municipality of Lochristi

Main contractor: Dica Tuinen

The Bonnebos local park, situated between Tuinwijk and Kantschoolweg in Lochristi, is a small wood of about 3,500 m² featuring a pond. The municipality wanted to open up this green space as a play forest for local residents. The specifications required recycled material. Managing Director Didier Van Der Eeken of Dica Tuinen opted for Govaplast from Govaerts Recycling, supplied by Deschacht. These are planks, posts, and beams made from 100 % recycled plastic. The advantages of recycled plastic are naturally its high durability (rot-proof), strength, and water resistance, making it ideal for projects of this kind.
