High-quality drain pipes for sewerage in Leuven
Leuven, the vibrant student city and capital of Flemish Brabant, is undergoing rapid development. With its strategic location east of Brussels, the city is growing in popularity as a residential area. The ‘DijleDelta’ project adds a new dimension to Leuven, featuring a modern waterfront urban district consisting of apartments, townhouses with gardens, and student housing. This district is located on the southern bank of the Vaartkom, close to the city center and major arterial roads.
Unique area in Leuven
The Vaartkom is a unique area in Leuven. What was once an industrial site around the canal and the Dijle river is now transforming into a stylish, vibrant, and green city district. Here, living, working, and leisure seamlessly combine, contributing to Leuven's metropolitan dynamics. DijleDelta Bottelarij is located between Sluisstraat and Mechelsestraat, next to the Klein Begijnhof and the Dijle river. The residences extend along Sluisstraat, Mechelsestraat, the new Bottelarij street, and the Flessentrekkerspad path next to the Dijle river.
High-quality drain pipes and sewerage
Willy Reynders Tuinarchitectuur, with 45 years of experience in landscaping, is responsible for connecting the various residential units to the sewage system and the landscaping of the DijleDelta project. The company chose to supply various materials, including high-quality polypropylene (PP) drain pipes from Kaczmarek, supplied by Deschacht.
PP pipe characteristics
These reddish-brown PP pipes are ideal for non-pressurized sewerage systems and wastewater drainage (WWD). The PP pipes are BENOR certified according to NBN EN 1852-1 and feature a socket with an impact shoulder and EPDM seal. They offer better chemical resistance than PVC pipes and can handle heavier loads, making them an excellent choice for sewerage applications. Furthermore, PP pipes have high impact resistance, a wide temperature range, and a lower environmental impact, which contributes to sustainable infrastructure.
