For a renovation project of a single-family home in Borgerhout, contractor IMEMO created a biodiverse green roof using materials from Deschacht’s Greenfix range. The installation of the green roof was not only a requirement within the permit application, but also offers a clear aesthetic added value. From the windows on the first floor, the residents now look out over a green, vibrant roof surface instead of a traditional flat roof.
IMEMO and Deschacht have been successfully collaborating for years on roofing materials and sewage solutions. Meanwhile, this was the second project in which IMEMO installed a green roof itself using Greenfix. For the renovation company, which specializes in total renovations, extensions, and energy-efficient remodeling, a green roof perfectly aligns with the sustainable vision it pursues.
The introduction to Deschacht's green roof product range took place through account manager Michiel Martens. Thanks to his advice and guidance, IMEMO found a solution that met expectations both technically and economically.
