For this application, he decided to test the product Icopas.

Initially, the waterproofing system was applied to a limited surface area. “We tested it on a smaller section first,” Kerremans says. “Because we were immediately satisfied with the result, we decided to use it for the entire project.”

What immediately stood out to the contractor was the product's ease of use. Icopas HP is a single-component system, fiber-reinforced, meaning the product is ready to use immediately without mixing or extra preparation. This makes it particularly practical on the job site.

“It's very convenient because you can just open the tub and get straight to work,” according to Kerremans. “With this type of application, you don't always use the entire package. With Icopas HP, you can simply reclose the tub and use it again later on a subsequent project. This avoids wasting product.”

Introduction via Deschacht

Kerremans came into contact with Icopas HP through Deschacht's communications, which also offered the possibility to request samples. This made it easy for him to test the product in practice first.

Technical advice also played a role. Thanks to the guidance and explanation of Lexe Van de Perre, the contractor gained a clear picture of the product's applications and benefits, allowing him to use it on the job site with confidence.

Versatile waterproofing system

Icopas HP is a fiber-reinforced, solvent-borne, seamless waterproofing membrane based on high-grade bitumen and elastomers. The product has been developed for a wide range of applications such as:

Concrete floors

Foundations

Retaining walls

Flat and sloping roofs

Old bituminous roof coverings

Green roofs

Planters

Goth and Kilgoth

Connections and other waterproofing details

Thanks to its flexibility, the membrane also easily conforms to irregularly shaped surfaces.

Key benefits

The strengths of Icopas HP according to users on the construction site:

One-component: ready to use

Easy to apply

Fiber-reinforced, so no geotextile required

Malleable to complex or irregular surfaces

Designed for reliable use at extreme temperatures down to −50 °C

As an added asset, Deschacht is the exclusive distributor of Icopas in Belgium, allowing construction professionals to turn directly to the specialist for advice, samples, and delivery.

[176
171
post-3306","realisaties","type-realisaties","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","activiteiten-dak-en-gevelbouw","producten-waterdichting

Kerremans kiest Icopas HP waterdichting

<meta name="description" content="Bouw- en timmerwerken Kerremans kiest voor Icopas HP-waterdichting van Deschacht.
