As part of the renovation of its storage facilities, the company Bonadonna called upon Deschacht for the supply of a DDSelect\u2122, a fire water treatment system designed to guarantee maximum environmental protection in the event of an incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The challenge: capturing explosive powders from the extinguishing water<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a fire breaks out, the fire protection system automatically activates the sprinklers, which release large amounts of water. This water may be contaminated with residues of explosive powders, posing a significant environmental and industrial risk. It was therefore essential to provide an efficient collection and settling system to prevent these substances from entering the sewage system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The solution: the DDSelect\u2122 with vortex effect<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To meet this requirement, Deschacht supplied the brand-new DDSelect\u2122, a vortex-effect sedimentation system specially developed for the treatment of sensitive industrial wastewater. The system captures suspended solids (SS) present in the firewater before they are stored in a safety containment basin.\n\nThe DDSelect\u2122 consists of an HDPE tank \u00d8 1000 mm, with a total height of 2600 mm, equipped with a reducing cone and inlet and outlet connections \u00d8 250 mm. The Advanced Vortex components, developed by Hydro International, ensure the performance of the sedimentation process. The entire unit, integrated by Collinet into a double-walled HDPE manhole, guarantees high robustness and long-term reliability of the system.\n\nAs specified in the specifications, the DDSelect\u2122 was delivered to Bonadonna under the supervision of Vincent Brehl, Account Manager at Deschacht. Thanks to this installation, the sensitive site now has a high-performing and secure solution to prevent accidental contamination and protect industrial operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
