{"id":3096,"date":"2025-09-02T07:54:25","date_gmt":"2025-09-02T05:54:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deschacht.eu\/realisaties\/op-maat-gemaakte-duurzame-hdpe-buffertank-van-20-000-l-voor-nippon-gases\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T15:02:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T13:02:28","slug":"custom-made-sustainable-20000-l-hdpe-buffer-tank-for-nippon-gases","status":"publish","type":"realisaties","link":"https:\/\/www.deschacht.eu\/en\/realisaties\/op-maat-gemaakte-duurzame-hdpe-buffertank-van-20-000-l-voor-nippon-gases\/","title":{"rendered":"Custom-made, durable 20,000 L HDPE buffer tank for Nippon Gases"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">High-end custom solution for Nippon Gases<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the renovation of the industrial site of Nippon Gases, a specialist in industrial and medical gases, in Oevel, contractor Boons \u2013 an expert in earthmoving, demolition, and road works \u2013 enlisted us for a technically advanced project: the installation of a double-walled 20,000-liter HDPE buffer tank with integrated functionalities for delayed wastewater discharge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strict technical requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project required a solution that was more than classic storage:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Delayed discharge of wastewater to the next processing phase<\/li>\n<li>Flow rate control of max. 1 liter\/second<\/li>\n<li>Volume measurement of the discharged water<\/li>\n<li>Automatic shut-off in the event of an emergency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA real technical challenge,\u201d says Rudy Vandervost, product specialist at Deschacht\/Collinet. \u201cTogether with our engineering department, we developed a solution that combines all requirements into one compact unit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Double-walled HDPE Weholite tank: durable and leak-proof<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The chosen solution is a Weholite double-walled HDPE storage tank \u2013 custom-designed. This tank offers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete leak-tightness due to double-walled construction (pipe and end faces)<\/li>\n<li>High chemical resistance<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability, also in environmentally critical applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to the versatility of HDPE, we were able to design a monoblock tank with an integrated pumping system, water meter, and electrically controlled butterfly valve. A design that is normally spread across multiple inspection chambers was consolidated here into a single unit \u2013 resulting in gains in both installation ease and reliability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smart Flow Management &amp; Guaranteed Safety<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dual pump system, calculated and installed by our partner Flow Group, guarantees a constant and controlled flow rate. The integrated flow meter records the total volume of pumped water, while an automated shut-off valve blocks the outlet in the event of an emergency. Everything was factory-built into the buffer tank for maximum compactness and optimal operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Result: one integrated system, future-proof<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For contractor Boons, all of this meant a simple installation and significant time savings. \u201cThe all-in-one buffer tank with sealed chambers was not only quicker to install, but also much more efficient in use.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Deschacht\/Collinet, we continue to focus on customization, sustainability, and technical ingenuity.
