Thanks to this tank\u2014with a volume of 80,000 liters\u2014hazardous liquids can be stored safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 1946, the Ghent-based company Christeyns has been producing hygiene solutions for various sectors, such as professional textile care, food companies, the professional cleaning industry, healthcare, and pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies.\n\nDuring the production of these cleaning products, hazardous waste is generated which, naturally, must not end up in the wastewater. Therefore, this wastewater is collected separately during the production process so that the sewage system is not burdened. In the past, this storage took place in an above-ground tank. However, Christeyns' management was looking for a safer and more sustainable storage option. With a double-walled HDPE storage tank, Collinet offered the ideal solution for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uncycled HDPE: certified and Vlarem-approved<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When it comes to the storage of chemicals and hazardous waste \u2013 as well as heating oil, diesel, and (waste) oil \u2013 there is no room for compromise. Safety and durability are crucial in this regard. A double-walled HDPE storage tank from Collinet meets these requirements. Thanks to the use of HDPE as a raw material (new and non-recycled High-Density Polyethylene), this tank is exceptionally durable and protected against corrosion for life. This material is certified and Vlarem-approved. Furthermore, the spiral double-walled welded tank \u2013 featuring two smooth walls \u2013 is resistant to eddy currents and UV light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Excellent strength-to-weight ratio<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to an excellent weight-to-strength ratio, the installation of a double-walled HDPE storage tank goes very smoothly. For this specific project on the Christeyns site, Collinet supplied a tank measuring 16 meters long with a diameter of 2.6 meters. The storage volume is 80,000 liters. Despite these impressive figures, this container weighs \u2018only\u2019 6 tons, thanks to the lightweight yet very robust HDPE design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The double-walled design provides Christeyns with extra peace of mind that the storage of liquids always takes place in safe conditions. The installed tank is highly resistant to groundwater pressure and features electrical leak detection.
