This brand-new hybrid build-to-suit building made of concrete and steel \u2013 strategically located along the E429 between Brussels and Nivelles \u2013 scores high in sustainability. The move is planned for January 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Some figures at a glance...<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A combination of 1,152 m\u00b2 of office space on the ground floor and two upper floors, and a 4,536 m\u00b2 storage space together provide a total business area of 5,688 m\u00b2. On the 11,000 m\u00b2 site, the company invested in, among other things, 560 solar panels of 450 Wp, 16 charging stations, and heat pumps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smooth cooperation between various parties<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Project developer BVI.EU was responsible for managing the entire process and finding a suitable location. The construction of the new building was entrusted to Alheembouw, which enlisted Wylagro for the preparatory earthworks. This West Flemish company, specialized in earthmoving and demolition work, relied on Deschacht for a thorough preliminary study and the supply of the necessary construction materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAt the end of March 2023, we started the earthworks and sewerage works, with a focus on a separate discharge system for rainwater and wastewater,\u201d looks back Wylagro site manager Dieter Depoorter. \u201cAfter preparing the subgrade, the team from Alheembouw was able to lay reinforcement and start with the structural work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Intensive study program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dieter and his colleagues were able to carry out their jobs efficiently and purposefully thanks to the cooperation with Deschacht. Dirk Stuyven, Head of Study Bureau and Engineering Flanders, is happy to share<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">highlighted by Deschacht within the framework of this project: \u201cThe first preliminary study trajectory started in mid-January 2023. We investigated how the water drainage \u2013 both rainwater and wastewater \u2013 on the construction site could proceed as smoothly as possible. Where did potential obstacles arise? How could we anticipate possible problems? We made a design of the site that was as \u201cwaterproof\u201d as possible, so that<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">no parts would be missing during the preparatory earthworks. During this study phase, we were of course also in close contact with the Alheembouw team, and in this way also indirectly with the subcontractors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis preparatory work by the Deschacht specialists was a valuable aid for us to do our job as well as possible,\u201d indicates<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">all points of attention were accurately mapped out, allowing us to install everything in accordance with the correct regulations.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tubao tanks for sustainable water management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the Deschacht applications deployed by Wylagro was the Tubao buffer and storage tanks. \u201cThese galvanized corrugated steel tanks are very effective for buffering, infiltrating, and storing rainwater. Because we were able to quickly obtain the necessary tanks and associated drainage pipes\u2014in various sizes and thicknesses\u2014through Deschacht, this resulted in optimal execution.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTubao's solutions fit perfectly in our<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and an innovative range of sewer materials,\u201d says Dirk. \u201cWith our own engineering department, we assist every client in optimizing a project, each time providing a technical data sheet and a detailed plan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drainix: unique patented Deschacht solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another application used during the earthworks is Drainix. \u201cThis product is a unique patented solution that Deschacht developed itself,\u201d Dirk points out. \u201cWith Drainix, we offer Wylagro and other customers a water-permeable paving where rainwater can infiltrate through the entire structure, including through the foundation and sub-foundation. In addition, Drainix is also easily drivable for heavy traffic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Wylagro team discovered the assets of this new Deschacht product during the Matexpo trade fair,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">together with managing director Jeroen Wyseur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis cast-in-place reinforced concrete grass paver offers the perfect mix of classic plastic and concrete tiles. The Hakron construction project was the first time we used Drainix, and it was an immediate bullseye! Thanks to its lightweight design, this tile was easy and user-friendly to install. Moreover, during the works, we received very good support from Deschacht, with Brecht De Meyer as our dedicated point of contact. We have been very satisfied with that cooperation for several years now!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1
