The bitumen of a flat roof of a factory building in Lokeren required a complete restoration. Both for the analysis of the condition of the roof, the advice for the best product, and the installation, a great deal of technical knowledge and experience is required. Deschacht recommended the PSX AF top layer by Bauder as the product. This involved a renovation on the existing roof structure. Smart and efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trust in expertise and quality<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With already 35 years of experience under his belt, roofer Thomas Mariman proved to be the ideal man for this project. After a thorough roof inspection, he contacted Deschacht for product advice. Deschacht's roof expert Matthias Van Acker introduced Mariman to Bauder. \u201cWe have already completed several projects with Thomas Mariman and he is used to working with high-quality products. We have a good relationship and he was open to giving a product that was new to him a chance. Bauder's bitumen is top-tier and we distribute the brand exclusively at Deschacht. On the one hand, the roofing is flexible to work with, while on the other hand, the components used make the bitumen very sturdy, which you can even feel. It has all the technical specifications to renovate an existing roof structure with a single layer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bauder PSX<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bauder PSX is a top layer made of elastomeric (SBS) bitumen with fire-retardant properties and a polyester reinforcement. The top surface is finished with dark slate granules and the bottom features a burn-off film. This roofing membrane is ideally suited for overlaying an existing bitumen roof without the need for insulation.\n\nThomas Mariman confirms: \u201dI have confidence in Matthias and am glad I listened to his advice. The SBS bitumen membranes were very easy to work with. The adhesion is of high quality, including at the upstands. The slate granules hold very well and are rolled in nicely. In total, we installed 2,000m\u00b2.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deschacht and Bauder contribute ideas<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Renovating is a current theme, and it is no coincidence that the government is launching the ReNUveer campaign.
