The existing 400 mm diameter vitrified clay sewer in Versailleslaan was in poor condition and was replaced with HDPE pipes using pipe bursting.\n\nA bursting head with a slightly larger diameter than the pipe pulverizes the conduit and pushes the pieces into the surrounding soil.
