Everything went smoothly in Altea!

On November 1st, the Deschacht cycling peloton of 89 (!) flew to the Spanish town of Altea, a coastal town on the Mediterranean Sea, about 100 km south of Valencia.

It was an initiative by Deschacht CEO Jo Verfaellie, as is well known an avid cyclist himself. But there was also a second reason; after all, this four-day cycling event was a group reward for collectively achieving Deschacht's 5-year business plan.

Over the past few months, a few training sessions had already been organized, and that turned out not to be a wasted effort. The Spanish interior is quite hilly, and the daily rides consequently turned out to be quite tough. Some male and female riders would occasionally lose their bearings and take a wrong turn...

For the occasion, the Deschacht cycling jerseys and shorts were given a makeover, which everyone was very happy with. Hopefully, together with those who wear them, they will cover many more miles on the bike.
